As the table below illustrates, total crime rates have continued to generally decline in the Phillips neighborhood over the last five years.  As of April 30, 2008, the entire Third Precinct had experienced an additional decrease of 3% YTD, but crime in the Phillips neighborhood had dropped a whopping 32%.  In the last two years there has also been a large decrease in calls for service in areas where cameras have been installed, such as along Bloomington Avenue and at Chicago-Lake.
