
Jeff Peterson
President, Abbott Northwestern Hospital

Jeff Peterson was named president of Abbott Northwestern Hospital in 2006. Prior to joining Abbott, Peterson was the president and chief executive officer of St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. St. Vincent, the critical care regional referral center for the Mercy Health Partners System, is part of a seven-hospital system that serves patients from northwest Ohio to southeast Michigan. Before his role as CEO, Peterson was the executive vice president and chief operating officer at St. Vincent. Peterson’s health care experience has featured leadership positions at the Good Samaritan Hospital and Health Center in Dayton, Ohio, and the Charles H. Huber Health Center in Huber Heights, Ohio.
Peterson’s education includes a master’s in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s in Business from Western Michigan University. Additionally, he is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Rotary International, the Boy Scouts of America, the University of Iowa Healthcare Administration Alumni Program, and the Life Connection of Ohio, an organ procurement agency. |
